95th percentile billing

I'm looking to change out our dark fiber from 49 Ontario to the lab at 111 Peter. Some of the carriers charge what is called "95th percentile billing". I'd never heard of it before, but found this explanation online http://inconcepts.biz/cr/95th.html and pass it along for your edification. .../Tom Tom Burns Director, Post-production Infrastructure Technicolor Creative Services Office: 416-585-8489 Mobile: 647-999-8462

Re: 95th percentile billing

Thanks. This is very timely, asd I am also looking at switching ISP's. I thought the 95th percentil billing would be some thing like that, but it's great to see the actual calculations. 95th percentile billing

Hey All,

Our ISP is proposing a new price plan for us that uses 95th percentile billing.

Just wondering what everyone’s experience/opinion of 95th percentile billing vs. standard metered billing.

Thanks!
