Talking about Final Cut Server I have a couple scripts using fcsvr_client to automate asset/production ingestion and archiving with intermediate transcoding that might be of some interest. I worked on those with Beau Hunter from 318 who is also behind the "transmogrifier" ( http://transmogrifier.sourceforge.net/ ) . Anybody interested please contact me off-list as we plan to publish this scripts with the rest of the project documentation sometime this fall. - Jaime Gago Systems Administrator Simulation & Educational Technology Information Resources & Technology (IRT) Stanford University School of Medicine jgago@stanford.edu mobile:415-823-7069 http://med.stanford.edu/edtech On Sep 9, 2010, at 3:13 PM, Charlie Miller wrote: > Hi all, > > Greetings from NYC. The meeting will be in our offices on the 21st floor of the historic Woolworth building, with a sweet view of lower Manhattan, and the rivers and bridges. Would love to see a big SSA NYC turn out! It will be laid back, but informative, and plus: seasonal, local beer!! > > This will be a great opportunity to initiate the NYC SSA community, and hopefully the first of many local get-togethers! Please let me know if you can attend and I'll add your name to the list of attendees. And feel free to pass the invite along. > > More info here, and below... > http://blog.controlgroup.com/2010/09/07/were-celebrating-fall-with-final-cut-server-and-seasonal-brews/ > > Thanks! > Charlie > > Charlie Miller | Senior Consultant | CONTROL GROUP | 233 Broadway | 21st Floor | New York, NY 10279 | 212-343-2525 x189 | www.controlgroup.com > > > > Celebrate Fall with Final Cut Server and Seasonal Brews! > > Wednesday, September 22, 2010, 6:30?8:00pm > Control Group, 233 Broadway, 21st Floor (corner of Park Place) > > Join Control Group and StudioSysAdmins as we present Drew Tucker, author of the latest title in the Apple Pro Training Series: Final Cut Server 1.5. > > We will be discussing the catalyst events and changes to production workflow that can create a need for asset management, archiving, and centralized transcoding.
