Re: Location of Maya 2010 stand alone license file?

Hi James, 2010 introduced the ever important 'product information table' or PIT. This is used for both standalone and network licensing. If you have a .pit file set for network, it won't work for standalone. I bet your PIT is not correct for stand alone. It's binary, so I have had to delete it, and re-create it. From page 25 of maya2010installationlicensingguide.pdf, it says:

Run the following commands to register Maya with the Autodesk licensing software, where is your product key, and is your serial number: ? (Stand-alone licensing) /usr/autodesk/maya2010-x64/bin/adlmreg -i S 2010.0.0.F /var/opt/Autodesk/Adlm/Maya2010/MayaConfig.pit

This will create a .pit file here:

/var/opt/Autodesk/Adlm/.config/ProductInformation.pit

Once that is set, you might need to set ADLM_LICENSE_FILE_LOCATION to point to the directory where your license lives.

Hope this helps.
