Maya 2011 in Production

Have any of you moved teams to Maya 2011 and if so, are you hearing of any major problems with it?

Thanks

Re: Maya 2011 in Production

Has anyone tested Maya 2011 on Linux. So far our tests ended with some crashes.

Re: Maya 2011 in Production

We're using Maya 2011 (with the latest hotfix applied) on modern 64-bit Linux with new NVIDIA Quadro FX cards beneath the bonnet.?It's been better behaved than any other version of Maya we've had - which isn't to say it's been perfect but it is better than expected.

Getting through the latest licensing?labyrinth?wasted far too much time again though.

What linux are you testing with?

What video card are you using?

What version of the video driver are you using?

Do you have Klipper disabled?

Do you have Composite on or off in xorg.conf

Are you running a network install or local?

Cheers

Todd

Hi Todd,

I am using Fedora 11 x 64, with Nvidia GTS 250 video and 195.36.15 driver.
I do not have composite in the xorg.conf.
The graphic interface is Gnome, and the installation is local.

Just installed Hotfix 1 and continue testing.

If have any suggestions which can improve overall performance I am open.
