Re: Vray licensing

Vray and 3D Studio Max are proven in production pipelines and many are
successful with it. I don't know anyone who's setup a pipeline with
Maya and Vray. If that's the case, perhaps a switch to Studio Max
might be possible with AutoDesk. Just haven't come across any Maya/ Vray pipelines yet.

Hi all,

We are thinking of using Vray in conjunction with Maya 2010 on a
fairly large project and haven't been able to get a definitive
answer about their licensing scheme.

I understand that one purchased license will allow us the ability
to use ten machines as render nodes. Can these ten additional
instances of Vray be used for batch rendering; similar to Maya to
Mental Ray? Has anyone used Vray with Rush, successfully? Thanks
in advance.

Bill
