POSITION OVERVIEW

The Rendering Administrator is responsible for the configuring and administration of Arc Productions compute cluster. The Rendering Administrator will create scripts for render usage reports. This position is responsible for ensuring that the qube supervisor and physical nodes are operational. The Render Administrator will also be responsible for automating render management and report data.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Responsible for configuration and administration of Arc Productions compute cluster (linux, software installs, Render/License Servers and associated Services (Qube, MySQL, XCAT)
- Create scripts for render usage reports, storage reports
- Maintain and testing of linux images and software builds
- Responsible for looking after the qube supervisor and making sure it is operational
- Responsible for physical nodes and making sure they are operational including, hardware, operating system and application
- Scripting including automating render management and report data
- Responsible for modifying reports based on production needs

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

- Experience with job scheduling on compute clusters and batch processing
- Python scripting and database management experience is essential
