Job Responsibilities:

Administration and support of Linux and Windows desktop computers, involving both hardware and software troubleshooting,

Design, specify and deploy servers and storage systems,
-
Monitor tape/disk backups and update backup & recovery plans based on changing needs,
-
Familiarity with supporting a large network infrastructure, using various switches and routers (Cisco and Extreme Networks),
-
Ensure reliable operation of critical IT systems,
-
Provide support to the users,
-
Document IT processes,
-
Collaborate with other members of the technical department supporting the production of feature films,
-
Offer input into existing technologies and always work towards making a more robust technical infrastructure.
Required Skills:

Multimedia/film industry experience required,
-
Experience supporting 2D and 3D applications - Both Desktop and Server-side,
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of training users in complex topics and interacting positively with users,
-
2 or more years of experience as a systems administrator in a heterogeneous environment,
-
License management,
-
Independent problem-solving, self-directed personality,
-
Strong experience in Linux system administration, troubleshooting, and management,
-
Experience with Windows Active Directory,

Solid understanding of deep Linux troubleshooting,
-
Networking (Layer 3, DHCP, PXE booting, NFS, NIS, CIFS, DNS and others),

Ability to write scripts in some administrative language (e.g., Python, Bash, PHP etc).
