It's been a while since the last StudioSysAdmins update. We've all been very busy discussing the future of the group and plans to move forward. Please look out for exciting news in the months to come.

One thing to note, yesterday we reached over 1500 members from 750 companies (448 of these are Studios, Research Facilites and/or Visualization Labs).

We have a very aggressive growth goal for this year and we are well on our way of acheiving it.

The StudioSysAdmins executive team will be working harder to bring more local area meetings and continue growing our community. We are all looking forward this year and the future.

I'd like to thank everyone that continues to participate in the forums. Helping each other out with issues and passing along information is the key to the community.

I would also like to ask everyone to forward me any suggestions and/or comments on the website, local area meetings, special events, etc. you input is alway appreciated.

As mentioned, we have a lot of things planned going forward so keep watching for more news, events, and updates.

StudioSysAdmins thrives to share non-proprietary information between studios, consultants, vendors and resellers to allow studios to build, manage and support their infrastructure and pipelines to bring better content to the Entertainment Industry. By sharing information and helping each other we continue to build better studios by reducing overhead costs and allowing new products to be accepted more easily.

Earlier this week the StudioSysAdmins community reached it's 3rd Anniversary! We've been steadily growing since we started on September 5th, 2008. With 1356 registered members from 683 registered companies (411 Production Studios, Production Training Facilities and/or Visualization Labs). A truly global community with members from 86 major cities from 32 countries.

We would like to thank all our Vendors and Resellers who helped sponsor our meetings and events. In the past year we have held 19 local area meetings in 8 different cities such as London, Los Angeles, Montreal, New York, San Francisco, Sydney, Toronto and Vancouver. We have also participated in or help sponsor 27 other industry related events. As our community and reach continues to grow we will add more cities for local area meetings and participate in even more events.

We would like to thank all our Members for participating in the forums and at the events. Sharing knowledge is the key of making a great and lasting community. Keep up the great work!

This year at SIGGRAPH we talked about new things that would happen with the group this year. Everyone keep an eye out for the exciting changes.
